|Amit obtained an undergraduate and masters degree from the University of Calcutta in India. |
He then completed his PhD in the lab of Prof. Goutam Kumar Lahiri at IIT Bombay, working on the synthesis, characterization, electronic structure determination, and catalytic applications of ruthenium complexes with redox non-innocent ligands.
He then spent two years in a postdoc position with Prof. Rich Eisenberg at the University of Rochester investigating photo- and electrocatalytic methods for hydrogen production.
He is currently investigating electrocatalytic oxidation reactions in the Stahl laboratory.
